Zachary's birthday was the day before so the festivities continued. After dinner Z opened more birthday gifts.

Being a true Buffalo Bills fan, he was rewarded with several awesome decorations for his new room.

~ a life size CJ Spiller and a "husband pillow" for reading.
Saturday was an exciting day filled with sporting events.
First was Zachary's basketball game.

After strategic planning by Coach Forti,
the team won and advanced to the next level in the playoffs.

Coach Forti barely had time to change his team shirt and make it to the next game ~ Caitlin's team this time.

A decisive win took Caitlin's team to the next playoff round as well!

Coach Forti's playoff record: 2 - 0 and counting

Next it was Caitlin's turn to change
her t-shirt and head over to her
lacrosse goalie clinic.
And we weren't finished yet ~

the final event of the day was
Caitlin's indoor soccer game.

We did manage a stop at Five Guys before the last event for a quick hamburger.
Sunday began another packed day.
Brendan headed to a birthday party. Caitlin headed to lacrosse practice and we began the preparation for Zachary's birthday party.
His request was a "football party". So that is what was delivered ~ complete with a striped football field, end zones, goal posts and a Buffalo Bills logo at the 50 yard line. (go mom and dad!)

After announcing the starting line-ups
for the Buffalo Bills and the
Washington Redskins,
the game kicked off with an
official singing of the national
anthem by the birthday boy.

The Redskins won the official coin toss and elected to receive the ball.
Both teams huddled up with their respective quarterbacks (Carl & John) to plan their game strategies.

It was a close, hard fought game but when the final whistle blew the Bills were on top by a mere 2 points!

After the victory, Zachary entered the birthday spanking tunnel and then both teams huddled on the deck for football brownie cake and cookies.

Brendan returned from his party turned into a Ninja Warrior.

A fantastic day was had by all!
